Woke up to another rainy Berlin morning - perfect time to go jogging to see more sites.
Marcel took me along a section mostly along the old remnants of the Berlin Wall(s). Down alleyways, up bridges, along train tracks, through tunnels. I'm glad I was still half asleep because it was my first run in a few months - couldn't get a more interesting 'restart route'.
We stopped to walk through a memorial site of those whose graves were dug up by the Soviets to build the Wall - also saw an exact section of how the Wall was during its 28+- life.
A few kilometers on we stumbled into a graveyard dating back to early 1800; found a heap of old grave stones again moved by Soviets to build the Wall - 6th picture illustrates this with tombstones in foreground and part of the Wall in the background.
Marcel's 2km back home was more like 4; once home he made an awesome Bravaria breakfast with pork sausages, rolls, mustard, and the darkest beer iVe had yet in my short 25yrs.
Mars is off to work - its still raining so I'm going to do what you should always do on holiday - have a beer, read a good book and nap if the rain puts you to sleep. Guten tag!

it wasn`t the damn soviets
